When it comes to cultural icons of the modern era that people look to and follow, there are some obvious people and there are some people that are not so obvious. Some people manage to become successful due to what they do and there are other people that become famous of who they know. A perfect example of this would be Pippa Middleton who gained as much, if not more, exposure than her sister Kate and Prince William from one of the most popular Royal Weddings for decades.
This is why the news that Pippa and her boyfriend, Nico Jackson, are looking for property in London is big news. The London property market is massive and it is not as if it needs anyone of a high nature or popular standing to buy a property to give it a boost. However, there will be plenty of people who pay no attention to the fluctuation or development of the London property market but who do pay attention to what is taking place in the world of celebrity.

The fact that Pippa Middleton and her boyfriend have been hunting for property in the Battersea Park region adds even more focus and attention to the number of people who are looking to move to this area. One area where Pippa differs from most of the people looking to move to this area is the level of publicity that Pippa will seek to obtain from this move. The majority of people looking to move into executive property or mansions in this part of London are doing so in order to escape from the public eye or media attention. This is just one of the areas of London where there has been an explosion in the number of wealthy foreign investors buying property. For the majority of people, this style of property represents strong financial sense but it also provides a welcome bolt-hole to relax away from the glare of their own media.

High interest in celebrities moving into London properties

However, for Pippa, the fact that the gossip columns have been buzzing with the news that her and her partner are looking to settle down means that she will have the media following her around. With the expectations that Pippa and her partner are looking to settle down and perhaps even raise a family will hopefully see the couple spared from the full glare of media attention but there is no doubt that there will be a level of interest in where Pippa chooses as her next home.

The level of Pippa-Mania in the United Kingdom is not at the level of what it was a couple of years ago but there is still a market for Pippa Middleton news. The interest in Pippa writing columns for magazines and websites may have declined but when it comes to stories about Pippa, her life and any potential link to her sister, there is going to be a focus that remains on her wherever she goes.

This is why moving to an exclusive area of London may be of benefit to Pippa and her partner. With the couple said to be looking at properties in the £2m to £3m price range, there will be a great number of properties that fit the bill. This is a tremendous sum of money for one home but again, Pippa is in the shadow of her sister Kate. This is because Kate Middleton, along with Prince William and their son Prince George are currently in the middle of renovation work at their own property, which has a value of close to £10m placed on it. While Pippa’s new home is sure to be something spectacular and grand, it is still likely to be in the shade when compared to her sister’s property.

The London property market continues to be on the rise and when you have people like Pippa Middleton on the lookout for a new home, it is understandable that there will be a great deal of focus on the market. Not everyone is overtly fussed or interested in the London property market but when it comes to the latest movements of celebrities and British icons, there will always be people who are interested in what is happening. This move won’t be at the typical end of the London property market move but it is indicative of the demand for high quality London properties.
